“Green School Bali is the stuff of kids’ dreams. It takes education to another realm entirely. It was my launchpad into the world.”

Discover Green School Bali’s on-campus or distance learning options by connecting with us:
Take the time to carefully explore our website and admissions FAQs and join or review one of our Virtual Open Days.
Please ensure that all information is accurate and that all required documents are uploaded. The teacher recommendation form will be sent to your child’s teacher directly from our system once you submit the teacher’s email address in the application. Please check the checklist on your OpenApply dashboard to ensure that all items are complete and application fee invoice is paid. Applications will not be processed until fees are paid and applications are complete
Student applications are reviewed by our admissions team and our faculty. This process may take up to 4 weeks after application is complete. We will contact you if we need additional information or to schedule an interview, if required.
After the review is complete, and if we believe that Green School Bali will be a good fit for your child, your child will be offered a place on the waiting list. In some cases, our faculty may request an interview or additional information before making a decision. If we believe that our school is not a good fit for your child, we will let you know at this stage
If you wish for your child to remain on the waiting list, please pay registration fees and deposit. Registration fees and deposit are due within 7 days of receiving the invoice from our finance team. Payment of registration fees and refundable deposit will hold your child’s space on the waiting list. * If we are unable to offer your child a space for the applied-for semester, you can either have the registration fees and deposit refunded or credited toward the following semester (deferral). Crediting the registration fees and deposit to a future semester would keep them on the waiting list until a spot opens up for them for the preferred semester.
If a space is available for your child, you will receive an offer of enrollment for your child. Congratulations! Please respond via email within 7 days of this offer to confirm your plans. If we do not hear from you within 7 days, we may offer your child’s spot to another applicant.
You will receive a tuition invoice from our finance team for a full year of enrollment. You may request to break this payment into two parts (Part 1: Semester 1 plus 20% of Semester 2 and Part 2: remaining 80% of Semester 2). Please pay tuition within 30 days of receiving the original invoice. Once payment is received and the required documents are submitted, your child will be officially enrolled as a new student. In the case of late admissions (when a spot opens up after the application deadline) the tuition payment may be due within a shorter period of time. If we do not receive payment within 30 days of the original invoice date, we may offer your child’s spot to another applicant. Please refer to our Tuition Policy for details.

LIFE AT GREEN SCHOOL BALI
WHAT KIND OF FAMILIES GO TO GREEN SCHOOL BALI?
Some families come for a single year, with parents taking sabbatical from work and focusing on reconnecting with each other and with nature. Others move here with a long term commitment to creating a life in Bali.
What we all have in common is a sense of adventure and a passion for making the world more sustainable. Tolerance of insects and patience with traffic jams helps, but more important is a respect for and interest in local culture and customs.
WHAT'S IT LIKE BEING A PARENT AT GREEN SCHOOL BALI?
Many parents take advantage of the co-learning and co-working space on campus, The Bridge. This unique parent resources is often dubbed ‘Green School for grown-ups,’ hosting daily workshops on fascinating topics ranging from building a mindfulness practice to starting a business in Bali.
There are also many other parent-initiated activities like fitness groups, cultural outings, language courses, and volunteer efforts. The Green School Parent Association (GSPA) is an active part of our school whose voice is highly valuable to the constant growth and evolution of our community. Parents can also help with student/class projects and mentoring programs.

LIVING IN BALI
WHAT IS LIVING IN BALI LIKE?
Green School families opt for a wide range of lifestyles, from modest homes in local villages to luxury villas with ocean views. The cost of living likewise varies depending on factors such as housing, transportation, and holiday travel. Bali is generally affordable by western standards, but families should not move here expecting to find employment once they arrive. The government puts strict restrictions on foreigners taking jobs that could be held by its own citizens, and employment for foreigners is highly competitive.
Modern amenities like western-style grocery stores and shopping malls can be found on the island. However, families often learn to simplify their lives and acclimatize to the locally produced food and warm, humid weather. People who are happiest here tend to let go of their achievement-oriented western expectations and embrace a mindset of gratitude and wonder.
