· What Our Parents & Students Are Saying ·

Lorraine Allen, parent of Sonny Perrussel - Year 3 - 4 student
I have witnessed such a profound change in my boy's demeanor , he is happier, more engaged more alive than I have ever seen him...he has a zest for life that has just had the volume turned up to full.

Matilda Wallensky - Year 7 -8 student
"We have to respect the environment because it's the only thing we have that's close to magic."

Lahra & Chicco Tatriele, parents of Sasha Kai Steere - Pre-K & Kindergarten student, and Mya Jasmine Steere – Year 1 – 2 student

To Susan Allen, Pre-K – Kindergarten Lead Teacher & Team:
“Thank you so much for including me in Sasha's 5th birthday celebration at school! I absolutely loved your idea of me sharing Sasha's birth story while she walked around the candle in the middle of the circle. It was a really touching moment! It was a truly wonderful day for Sasha!!! Thank you.”

To Andrea Maddy, Year 1 – 2 Lead Teacher & Team, and Katy Wrede, Learning Resource Specialist:
“We are very happy Mya stayed in the 1/2 class instead of moving up a grade. Talking with Andrea and Katy really helped me make the right decision. You both are real professionals! Mya really enjoys the environment and is excited to go to school every day. For the first time, she actually shares a lot of her day with us when in the past, her typical answer to "What did you do at school today?" was "Nothing...or I don't remember..." We are impressed and trust you and your teaching team to continue supporting her growth and inspiring her interest in learning! Thank you.”

To everyone at Green School:
“We wanted to express again how happy we are with you and your team at the Green School. In just half a month, we feel we have absolutely made the correct choice in joining this school. It is so nice to be a part of this highly involved and highly evolved community - a dream for a school, really! Both children come home with positive attitudes every day and singing up a storm (Living in Bali...). They have never been happier in school! Keep up the good work!!! Thank you for caring about Mya and Sasha more than any other school!”

Seraphine Lishe Jong - Year 1-2 student
"It means to be kind to the whole world and kind to nature"
- Seraphine, when asked why we named the school Green School and what that means.

Erika Carpenter, mother of Dillon Carpenter-Dorworth - Year 7 - 8 student

“I wanted to let you know how happy our family is with this first week of Green School. I woke Dillon up for school the other day and when he came into the kitchen he said, “When I first woke up I felt that bummed-out feeling about having to go to school, but then I remembered that I was in Bali and I was going to Green School and that feeling went away.” Needless to say that type of comment makes us, as parents, feel like we are on the right track.”

Gisela Grenkowitz, mother of Jeremy Grenkowitz - Year 7 - 8 student

"Thank you for these wonderful, inspiring first-day-of-school pictures! Jeremy is bubbling full of excitement and joy, and I am deeply happy too!"

Sybil Steele, mother of Milla Steele - Preschool student

"Been having a great time in the Sprouts program. Milla LOVES Sinead and Veronika. Which is great cause she is a bit picky about who she likes..."

Andrea Phillips, mother of Sid Phillips - Year 7 - 8, and Lucy Phillips - Year 3 - 4

"Can I tell you that after dinner on Monday night (after the first day of school) - Sid said to me - "I wish I could just go to school now". "You mean - not wait until tomorrow morning?" I asked. "Yes" he said. I have to say that I have never before heard such words come out of his mouth. Please pass this on to everyone - at least we have one very confirmed success so far."

Claude Clement, mother of Jay Clement - Year 7 - 8 student

"Jay put himself to bed last night without any coaxing. He said he wanted to sleep so that the time would go faster because he wanted to get back to school. That is the first time I have heard him say that! Jay told me the best part was that he was treated like a grown up. He also said that everyone in his class is nice. Wow, I'm so happy for the kids and staff."

Erinn Macfarlane – Year 5 – 6 student

"Mum, please don't send me back there again - it was just waaaayyyy too much fun! We got the most beautiful books for our special work - I am going to keep it forever it is so fantastic. It is just the best. I had so much fun. I LOVE IT!!!"

Ally Macfarlane – Year 1 – 2 student

"The best thing was I had so much fun! I learnt to spell book! Do you know Mum that the Balinese carry fruit on their head when they go to temple?"
