 A welcome message
from the Principal I
would like to extend a warm welcome to the Green School website. It is a
privilege and a great honour to be the Principal of this innovative and unique
school. As Principal, my mission is to work with the Green School community to
provide a high quality inimitable education, set high and achievable
expectations, and create a safe school where every child is challenged and
treated as an individual. We continue to strive towards achieving our mission of
delivering a generation of global citizens who are knowledgeable about and
inspired to take responsibility for the sustainability of the world.
At Green School we recognise and acknowledge that all children think and learn
differently. We believe that every child is gifted with unique talents, and we
provide opportunities enabling children to explore those talents in a way that
no other school is able to. Our highly skilled and qualified teachers have the
expertise to obtain the best out of every student by incorporating a wide range
of teaching styles and techniques.
Our
carefully created international curriculum seamlessly combines the ‘learning by
doing’ with the necessary classroom theory. We offer
a stimulating and challenging programme of study which allows the flexibility to
effectively respond to global change. The five core components of the Green
School curriculum are:

Green Studies

Mathematics

Science

Creative Arts
These subjects are supported by Physical Education, Foreign Languages, Global
Perspectives, Environmental Management and Life Skills. Our
older students ultimately take the University of Cambridge IGCSE examinations,
followed by the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. Both of these
qualifications are internationally recognized and open doors to universities
worldwide.
Green School is a place where internationally-minded, environmentally and
culturally aware children are encouraged to pursue both academic excellence and
personal development, thus enabling them to take a leading role in tomorrow’s
ever-changing global community: Through the partnership of child, parent and
school we can and will make a real difference.
I do
hope that you enjoy browsing through our carefully prepared website, which will
allow you to enter our ‘green’ world. Yet, surely an enriching and rewarding
experience of seeing us in action with a personal visit would be much better.
