Jennifer Barioni - Kindergarten
I studied Child and Adolescent Development at San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in the Young Child and Family. I have over 5 year experience with children with special need including physical, mental, and cognitive delays and disorders. For over 3 years, I worked as a behavioral therapist for children with Autism, where I provided therapy and led social groups. I eventually became a senior therapist where I evaluated employees, led trainings, and mentored new employees. Currently, I teach preschool and have worked with a variety of ages. A huge passion of mine is Yoga and I completed a 200-hour teaching training in Vinyasa and Power yoga, and currently teach these styles to adults. I bring this passion to the classroom and incorporate yoga into my curriculum daily, and developed an extra-curricular class that teaches yoga and movement for the children. jennifer@greenschool.org

Sara Mononen – Grade 2
Sara endeavours to engage with children in learning that allows their spirits and intellect to come alive. It is those simple, unexpected, and de-light-full moments of pure wonder and potent presence that she loves to experience and share with others. Twelve years ago, upon completing a BA in psychology from Bishop’s University in Canada, she promptly packed up her few worldly belongings and started out on her unlearning journey. With creative flair, a bright smile, and a quick and curious mind as her tools of connection, she traveled to South Korea, Spain, New Zealand, Bali and other parts of Asia, teaching young people in various capacities and learning from them how to truly live moment to moment with a trusting and open heart. Sara returns to Green School as one its original ‘pioneers’ after a one-year leave of absence. She is a lover of sound, movement, colour, contemplative inquiry and the ongoing discovery of what it means to be deeply and divinely human. sara@greenschool.org
