Joanna Ambrosio
Graphic Design – Emily Carr Institute

Joanna Ambrosio was born in Mexico City in 1983. She’s currently studying a Masters degree in Applied Arts at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Canada. Her passion for traveling and spreading her knowledge brought her to Bali, working as a Graphic Design Intern at Green School.

She’s currently working in different projects, including Matika Magazine (www.matikarevista.com), in which she’s been working for almost 4 years as a Communication Designer. She loves reading books and taking photos, and her passion for food from all over the world is outstanding.

Amanda Huynh
Industrial Design - Emily Carr Institute

The second intern to arrive at the Kul-Kul Campus, Amanda brought her many skills and passion for education to the intern program. She was born in Alberta, Canada and has a background in graphic design, sculpture, TV and video production. Amanda is now pursuing a Bachelors in Industrial Design in Vancouver, British Columbia. Back in Vancouver, she busies herself with schoolwork, volunteering for gifted children, working on a local organic farm as a gardener, and as a summer camp leader for children.

A semester of living and working at Green School with inspirational colleagues provided an incredible multi-disciplinary learning experience for Amanda and her friends. She is excited to one day return to the Campus and see the results of the common dreams and efforts.

Stephanie Gunawan
Architecture and Design - Rhode Island School of Design

Glad to be working in her home country, Stephanie is a graduate architecture student from Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in Providence. Her interest in sustainable design and materials was instigated from the time when she lived and studied in Australia. She is incredibly excited for the opportunity to live and work within a natural environment, and to be able to investigate and be hands-on with new materials and methods of construction. She is inspired by Green School’s strong emphasis in sustainability and community living, and hopes that she will gain the experience of a lifetime here at the School.

Angie Ishak
Communication Design - Emily Carr Institute

Angie Ishak is a first generation Canadian-Indonesian. She is currently a student at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia and also has a background in professional writing. In her design work, she strives to create imagery that immediately resonates with the audience and if possible, involves a multi-sensory experience. When not thinking design, Angie is an editor and stylist at a Vancouver magazine. She is inspired by Green School's commitment to sustainability and wholeness and feels blessed to contribute her creativity to it.
