I am interested in the Green Warung. Can you tell me more?
Warung is Indonesian for café. The warung is open every day and sells hot and cold drinks, meals and snacks. A latte and a chocolate cookie are a popular combination with parents in the morning. Everything sold by the warung is organic. The produce from the school gardens is available for sale at the Warung.
Can I buy the fruit & veggies that are grown in the schools organic gardens?
Yes. These can be purchased at the Green Warung.
What do the kids drink while at school?
The school gets water from its own well which is filtered before use. It tastes great and we are considering providing it free for parents to use at home. Students are encouraged to use reusable aluminium bottles to refill with school water throughout the day.
Are there any restrictions for my children's lunch box?
Yes. Certain processed foods and sugary drinks and not allowed. For more details see the parents handbook.
My child is vegetarian?
No problem. The school lunch menu is varied enough to accommodate your child's nutritional needs without requiring meat. Alternatively your child may bring their lunch from home.
