Please Slow Down!
We continue to have reports of drivers coming into the school too quickly. While we do our best to monitor and warn drivers we would like to encourage everyone to make sure that we all are driving safely in the school area particularly once you have made the turn into the Green School road.
Let’s all do our best to continue to have a safe Green School environment.
Calling All Green School Groovers!
Starting the first Tuesday back from break, Ibu Anna and Ibu Emily will be starting a new dance class after school. So if you are in grades 3-8 and like to shake your stuff, come join us on Tuesday afternoons in the yoga studio! Beginners welcome.
Check out some of the sweet dance moves you might learn!
It’s out! Vogue USA November issue
Time for “Dry Season” (Spring Cleaning)? Well we have the place for all your gently used unwanted goods. The Grade 3B class is going to have a Garage Sale Booth at the upcoming Bamboo Palooza on December 7th.
Please start collecting now, this is for a good cause as all the money goes towards our scholarship program. We take items big and small.
We will start collecting goods down at the 3B classroom the second week of November. If you have larger items, furniture etc., if those could be brought to school the day of the event that would be much appreciated.
Thanks a lot in advance. If you have any questions call Michelle at 081246171971.

Bali Starling Release
One of the most unique aspects of the Green School campus is the presence of the Begawan Foundation’s Bali Starling breeding facility. This has provided many rich learning experiences for our students who have been been involved in the foundation’s efforts to save the Bali’s last endemic species from the brink of extinction in the wild. Our students have been involved by feeding the birds, monitoring breeding pairs, fund-raising activities, and auditing previously released birds on the island of Nusa Penida.
Monday, November 5 will be another giant step for Green School’s partnership with The Begawan Foundation and the community of Sibang Kaja, as they will be releasing four breeding pairs right here in Sibang Kaja with the full support of the community.
Please join us for a special ceremony prior to the release of the birds at the Mepantigan outdoor arena beginning at 2:00. We will then move into the shade of the Mepantigan building to hear from one of the founders of the Begawan Foundation, Bradley Gardner, as well as student presentations.
Don’t forget to wear blue and white to help our our new neighbors feel at home!
Following the assembly we will be selling baked goods and Bali Starling T-shirts (designed by GS students) to raise money for the continued support of the Bali Starling Project. Contact Pak Glenn or Pak Matt for more details.
