I really admire what you are doing, and wonder if you have a branch in Thailand, or plan to build one in there.
Hi Mate,
Thank you for your kind inquiry. We have been approached by many groups from around the world to start Green Schools in other parts of the world. We hope to see many Green Schools around the world someday. Thailand would be a wonderful place to have one as well.
Thank you.
Chris Thompson
Manager Director

Amazing! Education with real atmosphere……brilliant!.
children must know the gift of nature to the mankind. Green school will definetly make them understand this. Soon we must resque our children from the present CONCRETEJUNGLE and make them live in this kind of wonderfull surroundings
I would like to start a school one like this in Tamil Nadu-India
Hi Dr. Ramamoorthy,
Thank you for your insightful comments. I am the Managing Director but also a parent at the Green School. We came here to give our children the type of education you speak of and we we wanted to leave behind the model of concrete school rooms.
We have had interest from people in India in wanting to launch a Green School. We hope someday to have one of our schools in your country.
Thank you. chris
I really feel excited about your effort because it’s the first time I seen a program put into practise, and I wonder how do you think about protect local culture?
Dear Maggie,
Local culture is a critical part of what we do at the Green School. In addition to our community development and support programs that we do which reach far and wide we have an Indonesian Scholarship program where we support 19 Indonesian children in our program with effectively full scholarships. We have marvelous children in the program who we hope will be leaders in whatever field they choose in the world.
I hope you get to visit our school someday and you will get to see the effect we have on the planet, children and the local culture. If you would like to receive regular updates you can sign up for our newsletter as well.
Thank you for taking the time to write to us.
Chris Thompson
Managing Director
Hi Maggie,
To echo my colleague Chris, thanks for your support and for your interest in Green School!
Aside from the scholarship program that Chris discussed, there are many other ways that we try to be a good neighbor and support and protect the rich Balinese culture that surrounds us.
Our creative arts program is heavily influenced by the artistic traditions of Bali and Indonesia, and our Indonesian Studies course ensures that students both local and international study Bahasa Indonesia, along with history, culture and geography of this part of the world.
And while we don’t espouse Balinese Hinduism to our students, we do operate the school in a way that is in accordance with local traditions and customs. We recently erected a Hindu temple in the middle of the campus with a huge ceremony that involved multiple priests, several gamelan orchestras, and dance performances. And the school honors all of the major Balinese festivals with special assemblies, etc.
We’re in the middle of a very beautiful and relatively undeveloped part of Bali. We’re safety-conscious and have an excellent security team but unlike many international schools we haven’t built big concrete walls to keep our neighbors out. Instead, the Green School campus is physically open to all of the villages that surround us. I think this is a lovely symbol of our attempts to integrate with our host community and allow the magic of Bali to permeate everything we do!
I really like your greenschool and the way you teach the students. We would like to have green school in shanghai china. We have green village in shanghai and we can build a school in the green village.
