  1. Hi Mike

This Green School in Bali is inspirational! Great article. Well done.

I am the founder of an environmental pressure group, Friends of Hoi Ha, which has worked hard to give Hong Kong’s Hoi Ha Marine Park the protection it deserves. 18 months ago, I was appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Sulaman Wetland Sanctuary and consequently I am now also involved in a wonderful environmental project in Sabah which has an ideal combination of Conservation and Environmental Education.

Given your experience in the World of Finance, would you be able to assist me with some networking and recommend companies, foundations and individuals who might be interested in sponsoring our project, which is currently being stifled by the lack of Seed Money? We have school parties from Hong Kong and Malaysia wanting to take part in our courses, but we can’t take any students until the combined Mangrove Nursery/Education Centre is built at the Sanctuary. Once we are up and running, we will be able to take school parties from Great Britain and North America who will re-afforest 480 acres of damaged mangrove habitat, re-create the ecosystem that was there and re-introduce species that were wiped out – such as the Proboscis Monkeys (many of whom have lost their habitat to Palm Oil Plantations and are in desperate need of a new home).

We would be happy to give a presentation to anyone who might be interested either here in Hong Kong or further afield – I am willing to travel anywhere.

If you are interested, I can send you more detailed information – I have photos and a brochure.

    Thoughts?

    Kind regards
